Michael T. Stanczyk joined Mackenzie Hughes in 2011 and is a member of
the firm's Business Department. He represents business clients in a wide
variety of corporate transactional matters. Mike represents startup and
emerging companies with respect to formation, structure, equity distribution,
financing and intellectual property matters. He advises established corporate
clients on a wide variety of issues, including mergers and acquisitions,
securities, strategic planning, environmental matters and general corporate
counseling. Mike also represents real estate developers and lending institutions
in all aspects of real estate transactions.
Mike received a dual Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rochester
in 2002, with majors in Economics and Political Science and with a certificate
in Finance and Accounting from the Simon Graduate School of Business Administration.
He received a Juris Doctorate degree from St. John's University School
of Law in 2007, and was admitted to the New York Bar in 2008. Prior to
joining the firm, Mike gained extensive experience representing companies
in corporate, real estate and environmental matters.
Mike is a member of the American Bar Association's and New York State
Bar Association's Business Sections, as well as the Onondaga County Bar
Association. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Onondaga Historical
Association and is also a member of the Government Relations Committee
of Centerstate CEO and the Advocacy Committee of the U.S. Green Building
Council's Upstate New York Chapter. Mike is a 2012 recipient of the Syracuse
Business Journal's 40 Under Forty Award, awarded annually to a select
group of young leaders who make significant civic and professional contributions
to the Central New York community.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys golf, running, reading and traveling.
