Responsibilities:
Provide high quality administrative support including correspondence, document submissions to agencies or other parties, maintain calendars in Outlook for attorneys including scheduling meetings/appointments, process incoming mail, and dictation.
Phone coverage for multiple attorneys and communicate phone messages in a professional manner.
General office duties – copy, mail, and scan documents; prepare and send letters, faxes and emails.
Maintain complete and orderly files in a manner that expedites retrieval; understand and ensure that record and privacy requirements are followed.
Enter attorney time into our firm billing system.
Provide back-up support for reception and other administrative assistants.
Qualifications:
We are looking for a professional candidate with a minimum of three to five years legal administrative assistant experience.
Work with attorneys and paralegals to prepare documents for all types of discovery requests, responses to opposing counsel, and motions including e-filing of documents.
Knowledge of New York State and Federal court filing procedures including e-filing preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
Expected Salary Range for this position is $22.00 to $28.00 per hour depending on experience.
