Frederick W. Marty Named Partner at Mackenzie Hughes LLP

Frederick W. Marty has been elected to the partnership at Mackenzie Hughes LLP. Fred joined the firm’s business department in 2007. Fred’s practice concentrates in commercial lending, commercial real estate transactions, residential real estate transactions and development.

He represents various municipal planning and zoning boards concerning zoning and land use issues. Fred also counsels clients in the formation of business entities and represents clients in the purchase and sale of closely held businesses.

Fred attended Colgate University where he graduated cum laude and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998. He attended Syracuse University College of Law where he graduated cum laude and received a Juris Doctor in 2003. He is admitted to practice law in New York State and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. Fred is a member of the Onondaga County Bar Association and participates in their Volunteer Lawyer Project. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Fred serves on the Board of Trustees for The Centers at St. Camillus, the Board of Directors of Oakwood Cemetery, the Board of Directors of the Mountain Goat Run Foundation, Inc. and the Board of Directors of the Syracuse Track Club, Inc. Fred also serves as an arbitrator in the City of Syracuse Small Claims Court. In Fred’s spare time, he enjoys staying active in athletics by running, cycling, swimming, and golfing.
