Mackenzie Hughes LLP is proud to announce that partner James H. Nicoll has been elected by members of the Onondaga County Bar Association to serve as a Director. James is one of seven attorneys recently elected to the OCBA Board of Directors and will begin a three-year term on June 1.
James joined Mackenzie Hughes in 2014 and currently serves as Chair of the Firm’s Business Department. He represents public and private companies, as well as private investment funds, in a wide range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, commercial lending, corporate governance and securities law compliance. His practice also includes advising lenders and borrowers in commercial finance transactions and working with technology startups throughout Central New York.
In addition to his legal practice, James is active in the community, serving on the boards of organizations including the Arc of Onondaga Foundation and the Museum of Science and Technology Foundation. He is a frequent speaker and author on corporate and securities law topics.
