Jillian DiLaura McGuire Named Partner at Mackenzie Hughes LLP

SYRACUSE, NY- Jillian DiLaura McGuire has been elected to the partnership at Mackenzie Hughes LLP.

Since joining the firm in 2013, McGuire’s practice has focused primarily on family and matrimonial law, including all aspects of divorce, custody, equitable distribution of assets, and child/spousal support, as well as separation, prenuptial, and postnuptial agreements.

A native and resident of East Syracuse and a graduate of East Syracuse Minoa Central High School, McGuire received her juris doctorate from Washington and Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Va. and a bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass.

McGuire currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Central New York Women’s Bar Association, Hiscock Legal Aid Society and the ESM Education Foundation.  McGuire also volunteers at the Onondaga County Family Law Clinic.

She was recently honored as a “40 Under Forty” award recipient in 2019. She has also received the 2018 Hanna S. Cohn Pro Bono Award from the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, and the Onondaga County Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award in 2014. McGuire has also been recognized for her contributions to pro bono service by the Empire State Counsel in 2014.
