Mackenzie Hughes Attorney Admitted to The Florida Bar

Ryan T. Emery, a business and trust and estates attorney at Mackenzie Hughes, was recently admitted to The Florida Bar. Emery’s admittance to The Florida Bar strengthens Mackenzie Hughes’ commitment to provide legal services for clients residing in both Central New York and Florida.

Emery joins Gay Pomeroy, partner and chairman of the Trusts and Estates Department, as attorneys who have dual Florida and New York estate planning and administration practices. Emery and Pomeroy assist clients who make Florida their domicile and represent them in domicile audits. Their services include drafting wills, a variety of trusts, living wills and powers of attorney.

Additionally, they assist in estate tax planning as it relates to the use of trusts, such as testamentary trusts, personal residence trusts, life insurance trusts and charitable remainder trusts. Emery joined Mackenzie Hughes in 2006 as a member of the firm’s business and estates departments. A resident of Cicero, Emery holds a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and a juris doctorate from Albany Law School at Union University.
