Ryan T. Emery and Samantha L. Millier Named Partners at Mackenzie Hughes LLP

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Ryan T. Emery and Samantha L. Millier have been elected to the partnership at Mackenzie Hughes LLP.

Emery joined Mackenzie Hughes in 2006 and focuses his practice in the areas of litigation, estate planning and estate administration. Admitted to both the New York and Florida Bar, he serves clients residing in both New York and Florida by drafting wills, a variety of trusts, living wills and powers of attorney. He also assists in estate tax planning as it relates to the use of trusts, such as testamentary trusts, revocable living trusts and personal residence trusts.

Emery holds a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and a juris doctor from Albany Law School at Union University. He is a former treasurer of Aurora of Central New York, a member of the Onondaga County Bar Association, and participates in the pro bono Volunteer Lawyer Project.

A member of Mackenzie Hughes’ litigation department since 2010, Millier’s practice focuses on litigation, including commercial disputes, medical malpractice defense, products liability, and personal injury.

Admitted to practice in both New York and Kentucky, Millier has eight years of legal experience and received her juris doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Syracuse Stage and is the Immediate Past President of the Central New York Women’s Bar Association. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Skaneateles Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
