Individual Rights

Mackenzie Hughes attorneys successfully pursued a workplace harassment claim based on national origin before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, resulting in a finding by the agency of a violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

This area of our practice protects the rights of individuals who have been physically injured, deprived of property or employment, subjected to discrimination or harassment or who have suffered any other type of loss. Our clients are members of the community at large, including our neighbors, friends and members of the business community we otherwise serve. They receive a powerful combination of services: the skill of attorneys who have a record of successfully representing individuals, plus the wide-ranging expertise and considerable resources of a large law firm.

The cases we handle involving physical injuries include products liability, workplace injuries, wrongful death, premises liability, premises security, motor vehicle accidents and highway/roadway design. We also provide counsel on related income-protection options such as no-fault insurance, Workers’ Compensation and Social Security. We seek to protect individuals’ interests in all aspects of civil rights, wrongful discharge, wage and hour, discrimination and harassment litigation as well.

Whether fighting for our clients in an administrative proceeding or a complex trial, our attorneys bring extensive skill, experience, and a track record of success to every case.
