Stephen S. Davie

Stephen S. Davie has been at Mackenzie Hughes since 1989. He is a partner at the firm, representing clients in all facets of civil personal injury litigation, including premises liability, medical malpractice, motor vehicle and public transportation liability, labor law/construction site liability and product liability actions.  Steve also continues to represent companies and property owners throughout Central New York with respect to claims of exposure to lead paint.

For the past 25 years, Steve has represented both major corporations and small businesses in defense of lawsuits claiming exposure to asbestos.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1986 from the University of Buffalo and graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University College of Law in 1989. While a student, he was a member of the Justinian Honor Society and a staff editor for the Journal of International Law and Commerce from 1989 to 1990. Steve was admitted to the New York Bar in 1990.

Steve holds memberships in the Onondaga County, New York State and American Bar Associations. Steve has also recently received his license to practice law in the State of North Carolina.  He has also volunteered his legal services as a member of the Onondaga County Bar Association’s Syracuse Housing Court Landlord-Tenant Clinic. He has served as a student advisor for the Cazenovia High School Mock Trial team, and as a judge for Syracuse University’s Mock Trial Competition. Steve has also served as an Arbitrator for the City of Syracuse Small Claims Court and lecturer for New York State CLE Seminars.

In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife Sharon and their 5 children, writing and recording music, golfing and boating on Otsego Lake in Cooperstown, NY.
